Thanks everyone for a great meeting tonight! I've set up this blog to streamline communication. Please use it often to post anything that will be of interest to the general group.
So, some of the results of tonight's meeting include the deputization of several new committee members. Thanks all for stepping up to the challenge.
Suzanne retains her title as Location Locator, and will try to wrap up the preliminary duties by end of next week. Additionally, Suzanne will arrange food donations, and will attempt to obtain donated gift cards for meals for the staff members while they are here.
Liz is our new Volunteer Chair. Hooray! Jean and Becky will work with Suzanne to recruit new volunteers. Most apps should be received online, those that are not will be mailed to Jean.
Becky is our new Photography Chair, and will work within her vast circle of friends to recruit photographers who will document the week, post images online for families and volunteers to access and download, and print out copies to mail with volunteers with their Thank You cards.
Jean has offered to handle trophies and nametags.
Michelle will work with BikeSource to confirm their discount, to wrangle water bottles and helmets from them, and to arrange a visit from them on Monday of each camp week. (and will post the dates for the screenings, right?)
DSACO staff will handle Thank You gifts for sponsors, and will arrange hotel accommodations for the staff once we know where the second camp week will be held. Nancy will research whether it is possible for families to use funds from waivers to pay for both camp cost and bike purchase.
Sessions will still start at 8:30, but there will be a 20 minute break between sessions. Camp price will increase to $125 (from $100), with a possible discount for DSACO members.
Again, please post much and often. I think you'll need to post in the comments section. I'm pretty sure there is a way to get an email notification when anyone posts a comment here, so that you don't need to come looking for new content. Perhaps whoever can figure that out can post it in the comments?!?
If it gets to cumbersome to use this as is, I'll see if i can figure out an easier way to get to information. Thanks for your patience with my ongoing learning curve!

Hi All,well needless to say I'm discouraged. Mr. Kuri from McCaord has not returned my 2 emails and 2 phone calls. I have a call into Grace church folks and hope to hear tomorrow. I got a no at Captial( basketball camps)no at Otterbien. I will call fthe school the School for the Deaf tomorrow. UA aslo might have some space but it would be for fewer kids( HS). I will keep you all in the loop.
